COMBINING TRUE AND CREATIVE STORY
This story begin with the Uma Lengo, a dumb outcast in Wangdue, who won the heart of a beautiful mermaid(daughter of the king of mermaid land). Lengo was completely short of speech, yet many people were friendly and kind to him. He roamed the Wangdue town and begged for food and save little things before going back to his love, the beautiful mermaid. He made shelter out of branches, cardboard and rags, and called it as his home.
Every night, the mermaid would come out of her phodrang(palace) and embrace the Lengo affectionately and in return, he would whisper to her the depth of his feeling of love for her. Beautiful mermaid provided him fish from the river occasionally. One day the beautiful mermaid shed copious tears when the Lengo's little home was ravaged down by a fire. Therefore, lengo use to slept in the bushes near the river bank. The cold wind from the river froze him to the bone, but he never left the river bank, all for his love, the mermaid. Gradually, the cold winter weather made him weak and sick.
One full moon night the beautiful mermaid came out from her phodrang in the form of fish as usual for her poor lengo , although he was sick he use to wait for her arrival sitting on a rough stone , they never new that full moon night would be turn into immersible until his beautiful mermaid caught into a hook of the fisher man on her way. The lengo wait till the sun appears from the east again, with the full hope of meeting the following night, he went back for bagging meals as usual, when night fell, he came back to that stone and start to runs his immersible time of missing her, on other side the king(mermaids father) of mermaid land after missing his daughter for a whole night, he sent his troops in search of his daughter in every corner of wangdue river, that situation turns danger for the poor lengo to walk and stay alone the bank of wangdue river, but when night fell he never stoped waiting for his love alone the river bank , after waiting for many days the poor lengo can’t think of letting her go away from him and finally decide to walk into the river. When the water touches his knee he stop and threw one orange fruit towards the middle of the river for the sign of calling his love but he never knew that orange fruit will take away his life until the mermaid troops found him and drag him deep towards the center of the river thinking that he has killed their beautiful princes, he was took deep into the river until his sole and his body separate each other, the body came flying towards the surface of the river but his sole was drag towards the phodrang by troops, "My lord, we confirm that he has killed your daughter" said the troops, the poor lengo didn't know how to express his thought into words, the king with his full depression,"make him suffer in the land of mermaid until my daughter returns home",(means he will never be free) ordered the king and he was drag into a jail, even today he is still holding the biggest punishment in the land of mermaid without any reason, who will express his sign language to words for the king of mermaid?, so that he will be free from the mermaid land and to be born again to this beautiful land of druk yul.
